Lawrence Hall of Science

The Lawrence Hall of Science is a hands-on learning center for kids, adults, and students by UC Berkeley. The center was established in 1968 in honor of physicist Ernest Orlando Lawrence. Guests can sit atop a fiberglass whale, explore hands-on exhibits and check out the planetarium. In addition, there are a bunch of exhibits  which includes the Sunstones; an 18-foot granite astronomical sculpture. If you’re into learning about earthquakes, there is a perfect exhibit for you. There is A seismograph that is connected to UC Berkeley’s Seismographic Station which registers earthquakes occurring anywhere in the world. Furthermore, there is a planetarium for guests to learn more astronomy and view  interactive shows.
